An Arlo Book Writing Sample from:
In a house not far from here, you’d find a small and fluffy creature, with a big blue and yellow tail. His name was Arlo, and he was a very happy little creature.
Arlo lived with his momma and his big sister, Aspen. He was a kid like you and me; he loved football, pretending to be a superhero, playing hide-and-seek, and having naps in his nice, warm bed. And when he was at school, he loved to play on the playground with all of his friends.
Even though Arlo was very different from the other children, he still made many friends, and he loved every one of them.
“Would you like to share some snacks?” he would ask some friends.
“Do you want to come to my house after school?” he asked others.
“Could we go play hide-and-seek together?” he’d ask the new friends he made that day.
Arlo always showed kindness to everyone, no matter what.
One day when the sun was shining down on the playground, Arlo noticed someone he had never seen before, sitting by herself in the grass and watching all the other kids play.
“Who’s that?” Arlo asked his friends. “I’ve never seen her before. Maybe we should go say hi and see if she wants to play a game!”
